CELEBRATING 59 YEARS OF FAMILY, FRIENDSHIP AND FUN!

The Golden Circle Horse Show Circuit was founded in 1965 with the mission to:

  • encourage good sportsmanship and proper conduct among horsemen and to foster good fellowship of all persons interested in horses,

  • encourage proper and humane handling and care of horses to prevent cruelty to animals,

  • promote education in the care, use, handling, and development of horses and horsemanship, and

  • to create, stimulate, and maintain interest in horses and horseback riding in communities in the Golden Circle area.

GCHSC originated in the Kansas City, Mo area. For years they hosted shows both north and south of the Missouri River. As times changed, the circuit adapted and moved to a more hostable location, making it's new home the Missouri State Fair Grounds in Sedalia, Mo.

Here competitors have amenities to allow for showing in rain or shine with 1 main indoor arena with stands inside the Coliseum, 1 large covered warm-up arena attached to the coliseum and 1 additional covered arena for the use of warm up and allowing the circuit to run classes simultaneously. Additional amenities include stalls, wash racks and camping with RV/Horse trailer hookups and tent sites with showers and restroom conveniently located at the entrance of the campground.

Sedalia also has multiple hotels and restaurants available for those who prefer the comforts of a hotel. There is a Wal-Mart, Family Center and Tractor Supply all within 5-10 minutes of the grounds for convenient access in the event you forget something or need to do some quick resupply.
